Will head into fall drills as the No. 2 quarterback behind Josh Kellett...saw limited action in the second game of the season before being redshirted for the remainder of the year...possesses excellent mobility and a strong arm.

1999 (Freshman): Made his only appearance late in the fourth quarter of a 51-0 victory at Austin Peay...completed one of two passes for five yards.

High School: Rushed for 1,099 yards and 17 touchdowns while passing for 1,239 yards and 12 scores as a senior for Larry Kinslow at Magee High School...selected as the District 7-3A Most Valuable Player...helped MHS to the Class 3A state championship as a junior and a state runner-up spot as a senior...also played baseball.

Personal: Born April 7, 1981...the son of Patrick Brown and Sheila Smith...father played football at Ole Miss and a brother plays baseball at William Carey...undeclared on his major.
