The Bulldogs’ leader in the secondary . . . a brutal hitter with good size and speed who is always around the ball.

2000 (Junior): Started 10 games for the Bulldogs from the strong safety position . . . missed one start due to a foot injury . . . led all Bulldog defensive backs and finished fourth on the team in tackles with 75 . . . set a career high with 12 tackles in the final game against Tennessee Tech, along with a pass break up . . . recorded double-digit tackles four times . . . posted 11 solo tackles, one for a loss, in the season opener against Chattanooga . . . followed that with another 11-tackle performance and an interception in Samford’s home opening win over Murray State . . . recorded three straight games with eight tackles against Jacksonville State, Nicholls State and North Texas . . . finished the season strong with 11 tackles, one for a loss, and two pass breakups in the overtime homecoming win over Charleston Southern and a dozen tackles against Tennessee Tech.

1999 (Sophomore): Led the Bulldogs with two interceptions on the season while breaking up four passes...posted 25 tackles on the season, with a season-high of five coming against Elon...tallied four stops at Nicholls State and added three against Austin Peay and Western Carolina...recorded interceptions against Austin Peay and Tennessee Tech.

1998 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in all 11 games for the Bulldogs and tied for the team-lead with two interceptions...recorded 25 tackles, with three for loss...also broke up two passes and forced a fumble...had a season-high five tackles with an interception against Tennessee-Martin...had two tackles for loss at Elon.

High School: A Class 3A All-State performer as a junior and second team Super All-State as a senior...named All-Walker County his final two seasons...also named the Walker County MVP in basketball and was the captain for Carbon Hill's baseball team.

Personal: Born November 9, 1978...son of Don and Sheliah Clark...majoring in interior design.
