Veteran who suffered injury in game five of 2001 . . . experienced quarterback who takes control of the huddle . . . threw the ball well and exited spring practice as the backup to Ramon Nelson . . . begins his senior season ranked on Samford’s all-time rushing, passing, total offense and scoring lists . . . three-year letterman who has 25 career starts under his belt.

2001: Started five games and shared time in four of them with Nelson . . . completed 53 of 100 passes for 611 yards and four touchdowns with only one interception . . . also rushed for 17 yards and a touchdown . . . completed 20-of-38 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns with one interception against Chattanooga, including a 35-yard strike to give freshman John Williams his first career touchdown . . . completed 11-of-22 passes for 149 yards and a score in the Bulldogs’ triple overtime win over Gardner-Webb . . . in the Gardner-Webb game, Kellett completed a huge fourth-down pass for a score to Aryvia Holmes and rushed for the game-winning touchdown in the third overtime . . . threw for 160 yards on 11-of-22 passing and rushed for 21 yards on five attempts at Nicholls State . . . completed 10-of-18 passes for 124 yards and a touchdown in Samford’s home loss to Jacksonville State.

2000: The team’s top returning rusher from 1999, he rushed for 266 yards and two touchdowns . . . completed 52-of-117 passes for 733 yards, four touchdowns with 12 interceptions . . . played in 10 games and started in each . . . threw for more than 100 yards three times and more than 200 once . . . due to the Bulldogs’ run-oriented attack, only attempted 10 or more passes four times . . . tallied a season-high 203 yards on 13-of-33 passing and a touchdown against Jacksonville State . . . also threw for 116 yards on 3-of-4 passing with two touchdowns against Murray State . . . recorded 121 yards passing in the homecoming win over Charleston Southern, including a 69-yarder to Holmes . . . scampered for his season-long 38-yard run in the season opener against Chattanooga . . . averaged 100 yards of total offense per game.

1999: Appeared in every game for the Bulldogs . . . rushed for 762 yards and six touchdowns in Samford’s multiple-option offense . . . completed 67 of 136 passes for 831 yards and four touchdowns . . . started 10 games on the season, with his only non-start due to a separated shoulder the week before against Liberty, coming at Western Carolina . . . rushed for 188 yards on 24 carries with three touchdowns against in-state rival Jacksonville State . . . his 56-yard run against the Gamecocks tied for the longest run of the season, setting up a fourth-quarter touchdown . . . had best passing day against Elon, setting season highs in yards (195), attempts (23), completions (12) and touchdowns (2).

1998: Redshirted.

High School: Named Large School Player of the Year by the Decatur Daily . . . completed 79 of 147 passes for 1,585 yards and 10 touchdowns . . . recorded over 2,000 yards total offense as a senior while rushing for eight touchdowns . . . named Class 6A honorable mention All-State . . . named All-Area his final two seasons in baseball.
