Rebecca Kent begins her first season as Student Assistant Coach for the Bulldogs after a successful playing career at Samford.

Kent, a native of Dallas, Texas, is second in Samford history with 43 career points. She ranks third all-time in goals with 14 and in assists with 15. She was a member of the Bulldogs first team which took the field in 1997. She scored her first game-winning goal against Troy State in 1997 and scored an overtime game winner against Chattanooga during the 1998 season.

A four year starter for the Bulldogs. Kent played in 71 games and is finishing up her double major in Math and Physical Education.
